All cymbals are handmade to order in Hawaii. Please consider 2-8week turnaround time depending on the cymbal being made, waitlist and materials available in shop.
Our custom cymbals are handmade by Cymbalsmith Russell Lundgren in Hawaii, USA. Lots of love, passion and hours of hard work go into each cymbal. Prices are non negotiable for custom cymbals. Although it’s a labor of love, we are not a big factory that produces hundreds of cymbals a day. Big Island Cymbals is a small family business and every cymbal counts!
Cymbals are HANDMADE like the cymbal pioneers did in the past. They will not be perfect cookie cutter cymbals like the ones you get from big box stores. There may be small idiosyncrasies or
blemishes in the bronze, but this is the beauty of handmade cymbals; a
unique, truly one-of-a-kind musical instrument made for you! We source our raw B20 bronze from the top foundries in Turkey, China and most recently from Brazil.
*Due to the multitude of factors of that go into making a cymbal (size,
weight, style, build and raw material price fluctuations) Prices are an

***Partial fraction sizes are also available (for example 21.5”ride cymbal, or 13.25” Hi Hats) $100 deposit required for all custom orders. All cymbals shipped usps ground unless otherwise requested. But this option tends to be the cheapest. Hawaii Drummers please inquire about Kamaaina.

As Big Island Cymbals is growing and reaching global consumers, we are developing a more affordable “semi-factory produced” cymbal in addition to our custom made cymbals, which still maintains the beauty and quality of a cymbal that Big Island Cymbals brings to the table.
This “semi-produced” cymbal would entail getting a partially made cymbal blank from Russell’s Turkish factory he works with, to cut down on labor costs. But, rest assured Big Island Cymbals will still do the majority of the work on these economy cymbals. Still being mostly produced in Hawaii, USA.
